We're trying something new! We're going to start regularly updating this blog with posts that fall under our new "Teacher Resources" category. For the first post, we look to our friend Bonnie Way who writes for The Koala Bear Writer and Untrained Housewife. You may remember her as the author of the first review ever written about Prismland (check it out here).
Here at Prismland, we have no doubt that one of the best uses for the PrismPals will be as homeschooling tools. What better way to teach your child about shapes and solids, math and geometry, than with cuddly characters like Cubert and Hexter? By making difficult concepts a little more fun, a student can be taught anything.
In Bonnie's recent article, "How We Have Fun in Our Homeschool", she outlines 5 great ways of making homeschooling a little less like school and a little more fun. The first method she discusses is Extracurricular Activities.
"The other day, my husband asked Sunshine if Lily should go to Kindergarten (like she did) this year. After a moment’s thought, she said no. We were both surprised and my husband asked her why. Sunshine’s answer was that if she was in Kindergarten, Lily wouldn’t be able to go to gymnastics or dance class. Very true!"
